Japanese food culture, Food event in Tokyo, Japanese unique ingredients and classes
Every one enjoy making a sushi platter.!
We have welcomed a family originally from San Francisco. They have been traversing the world and currently staying in Tokyo and will travel through Japan. The family wanted to learn Japanese food culture and cooking technics in my class.
First, the sushi class starts with making sushi rice. There are several technics and tools to make nice vinegar flavored, and moderate moisture sushi rice.
Then cook Japanese style omelet. The participants use special rectangle egg omelet pan in our kitchen, some people call ' tamago pan', to make rectangle shaped omelet. See the boy made egg omelet successfully! The egg omelet will be cu in strip and will be one of the ingredients of sushi roll.
You may find many cooking tips in the class. Many people have no confidence to make sushi rolls at the beginning of the class, but there haven't have any failure so far.
Eventually the family made a sushi patter, sushi roll, inari-zushi and salmon aburi-zushi at the class and enjoyed their lunch with delicious sushi.
